Deminaralised Plant

High-Purity Water

Overview of Demineralised Plant

A Demineralised Water Plant, also known as a DM Plant, is a water purification system used to remove dissolved salts (ions) from raw water using ion exchange technology. The result is highly purified, mineral-free water suitable for industrial applications requiring low conductivity and zero hardness, such as in power plants, pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturing, laboratories, and boilers.

DM water is free from dissolved solids like calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, sulfate, nitrate, and silica — making it ideal for processes that demand high water purity.

Advantages of Demineralised Plant

  1. High Purity Output
    • Produces water with conductivity < 10 μS/cm.
    • Ideal for processes requiring ultra-low total dissolved solids (TDS).
  2. Cost-Effective Operation
    • Ion exchange systems offer low running costs compared to RO or distillation.
    • Regeneration with acid/alkali is economical and easily available.
  3. Easy Maintenance
    • Simple to operate and service.
  4. Environment Friendly
    • No harmful by-products.
    • Regeneration chemicals can be handled with proper neutralization.
